The Air Cav Troops of the 3/17th

The air cavalry troops of the 3/17th have changed as much as the ground cav troop. B Troop (Blackjack) and C Troop (Crazyhorse) fly the OH-58D Kiowa exclusively now. Those birds have enough whistles and bells to make a Starwars fan turn green.

We had a page devoted to the air cavalry troops, but it was deleted from the Burning Stogie site after an overenthusiastic 3/17th officer objected that we were divulging sensitive or classified information. In fact, the information on the site came either from officers of 3/17th or from the Bell helicopter site on the internet.

Before it was deleted, the page was reviewed without objection by the commanding officer, executive officer, and sergeant major of the 3/17th. Unfortunately, those fine men rotated out to other assignments.
