The Rear - Phu Loi in 1971

Spec 4 Thomas McGuire was the Blue Tigers' "Radar O'Reilly." As the troop clerk from February to September 1971, he filed the troop's paperwork and kept soldiers in the field supplied with necessities. He transferred to Headquarters Troop, 3/17th Air Cavalry in September 1971. He remembers a rare visit of the entire troop to Phu Loi in April 1971 for a short stand down.

Tom took some remarkable portraits of Blue Tigers that he would like preserved for his grandchildren. We are happy to add his contribution to the web site and to make it a full part of the Blue Tiger Story in Vietnam.
